Ueli Bier – the oldest craft beer in Basel.

How does Basel taste?

For some, it’s as refreshing as a Zolli cornet on a summer’s day. For the others as sweet as the famous Läckerli. And for still others aromatic like a sip of Ueli beer. The latter is actually no wonder when you consider that we have been around since 1974. We were already making craft beer when hardly anyone knew what it was. Because long before creative minds on the American west coast revolutionized the beverage market, the people of Basel on the east coast of the Rhine were able to enjoy unfiltered specialty beers.

It all started in 1974 with the legendary Ueli Reverenz, which still has the same recipe today as it did back then. We now have six draft beers, and many other varieties are commercially available in bottles. Committed to the pioneering spirit, our team also constantly creates new beer specialties such as Van Ueli, Ueli Pablo or Tut-Anch-Ueli. One thing is therefore truer than ever: if you want to let Basel melt in your mouth, you can’t get past us. Cheers!

A look behind the scenes.

There has always been a certain magic to brewing beer – how does something so tasty come about from well-known ingredients like hops and malt?

We offer you the opportunity to look over the shoulder of our magicians.

During our brewery tours, they will show you what makes our craft beers so special. And who knows, maybe they’ll even let you taste it?

Pleasure and conviviality.

Whether you’re a hipster or a carnival fan, a native of Glaibas or an expat, a craft beer fan or a wheat lover: everyone feels at home with us. Our restaurants couldn’t be more different.

With its upscale, traditional cuisine, the Fischerstube is reminiscent of our early days.

The Ueli-Brau-Bar focuses on culinary delicacies from the region and is the ideal place for the first beer of the evening. Or even the last.

Welcome to Kleinbasel, welcome to Ueli Bier!

We have the right offer for everyone who has something to celebrate. Even if it’s just life itself. Either in one of our two restaurants, or in the historic Antoniterkeller, which takes you and your guests back to the 15th century.

In addition, we regularly invite you to tastings and Beer & Dines and enable you to personally become the tap master at the tapping table in the Ueli-Brau-Bar.
